Street Landscaping focuses on beautifying and maintaining City-owned landscaped areas. This involves operation and maintenance of 24 City irrigation systems; trimming, removing and planting of more than 15,000 street trees to improve aesthetics and safety; cleaning and weeding 14+ acres of ornamental planter beds three times per year; assisting citizens and public agencies with right-of-way landscaping and trees; and hires 10-12 summer interns annually.
