Puppet Making Workshop with Celeste Rose ●12:30-3:30, Feb.27, March 6, 13 and 19, with a show on March 20 ● Ages 8-13. Create puppets and a puppet show in this 5-week workshop. Four classes, with a performance on March 20.  Sign-up begins February 1. Class size is limited.  Register at the Youth Services Desk.  Sponsored by the Springfield Arts Commission.

Puppet show presented by Waldorf Teachers ● Saturday, March 13, 2 pm ● All ages
Eugene Waldorf School staff will perform “The Three Billy Goat Gruff” with handmade silk marionettes and wool puppets. Held in the Children’s Story Corner.

Jammie Storytime ● Tuesday, March 16, 7pm ● All ages welcome. Come in your pajamas for a special “Puppets in Jammies” evening story time. Held in the Children’s Story Corner.

Celeste’s Kids performing their original puppet show, “Sleeping Beauty” Saturday, March 20, 2pm ● The Festival’s Puppet Making workshop kids will perform an original version of the favorite fairy tale, complete with a princess, king, queen, fairies, a witch, and a handsome prince, with music from the Sleeping Beauty ballet. Sponsored by the Springfield Arts Commission. All ages welcome. 

Dragon Theater Puppets performs “Home Grown Heroes” ● Tuesday, March 23, 3pm
A villain has a bad idea! He wants to stop the world from having creative minds. A band of super heroes must work as a team to stop him! Moral: You don't have to have super powers to be a hero. Performed by Dragon Theater Puppets of Portland. Held in the City Hall Lobby. Sponsored by the Cressey Family Charitable Trust. Ages 4 and up. 

Oregon Shadow Theatre performs “Anansi the Spider” ● Saturday, March 27, 1pm & 3pm ● At the Wildish Theater
Anansi the spider is clever, witty, foolish and greedy.  He loves to eat and he hates to work.  Anansi plays tricks on everyone and gets into a lot of trouble.  In this story Anansi plays a trick on his whole village. The incredible Oregon Shadow Theatre
of Portland will present two puppet performances at the Wildish Theater, 630 Main St. Sponsored by the Springfield Utility Board and the City of Springfield. Ages 4 and up.
