Springfield Public Library Foundation
The mission of the Library Foundation is to enhance the facilities, resources, and scope of services of the Library through fundraising and to create an endowment that will continue to support and grow library service into the future.
The Foundation currently funds the popular, and well-attended, Authors Reading series as well as providing the matching funds enabling the Library to receive a $27,000 Gates Foundation grant for improved and expanded internet services.
This fall the Foundation will be hosting their first ever “Springfield Follies”; a signature event designed to raise the matching funds for the Gates Grant and to signal a new era of library fund raising.
