Conduct a Joint Work Session with the Lane County Board of Commissioners to provide an introduction to the proposed Glenwood Phase I Amendment package in preperation for the subsequent Joint Public Hearing scheuled for February 21, 2012. (re-scheduled for April 2, 2012)
Updated Schedule for Springfield 2030 Refinement Plan, Land Studies and UGB
On June 20, 2011 the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 6268 during a Joint Meeting with Lane County which approved 1) the Springfield Residential Land and Housing Needs Analysis, a Residential Land "inventory", analysis, and determination" required by ORS 197.296(3).; and 2) the establishment of a separate Urban Growth Boundary for Springfield. Click here to view Ordinance No. 6268. The ordinance was co-adopted by Lane County on July 6, 2011. This action is the first in a multi-step process to adopt the Springfield 2030 Refinement Plan.
Next year the City Council and Lane County Board of Commissioners will conduct Public Hearings on 1) the Springfield Commercial and Industrial Buildable Lands Inventory and Economic Opportunities Analysis (CIBL); 2) consideration of an expansion of the Urban Growth Boundary to add employment land; and 3) adoption of a parcel-specific refinement plan diagram, plan policies, zoning and land development measures required to implement the new boundary.
These studies constitute inventories and factual information under Statewide Planning goal 2.
