Fair Housing

Fair Housing Services and 24 Hour Hotline . The Fair Housing Council of Oregon (FHCO) provides fair housing services and responds to questions and complaints having to do with housing discrimination. If you feel that you have been discriminated against in seeking or maintaining housing, please contact the FHCO at 1-800-424-3247, or visit their website at www.fhco.org.

HUD Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) webpage contains information to help you if you feel you have experienced housing discrimination.

 

    Government Pages

City of Eugene (phone 682-5447) offers the Housing Assistance Program which is similar to Springfield's Home Ownership Program. This site also offers a number of local housing and homeless resources.

Housing Authority and Community Services Agency of Lane County (phone 682-3755). The Housing Authority operates a full range of housing-related services including public housing, section 8 rental assistance, home ownership, social services and a variety of other programs.

Oregon Housing and Community Services Community Resources Division (CRD) provides state and federal grant funds to private, public and non-governmental agencies to develop, direct and administer programs focused on improving the housing, living standards and self-sufficiency of low-income Oregonians. OHCS works in partnership with local Community Action Agency Centers and Food Banks to help low-income Oregonians.

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Owning a Home site features lots of information on buying a home, HUD homes for sale, home improvements, refinancing, housing counseling, housing options for senior citizens, and keeping your home during financial crises.
