The Development and Public Works (DPW) Department is organized into five divisions:

  • Community Development: looks at the long-term future of the community and how we might grow. Manager, Tom Boyatt
  • Current Development: oversees changes to property inside the City or the Urban Growth Boundary around it. Manager, Greg Mott
  • Environmental Services: protects Springfield's water resources by managing a stormwater program and partnering in the regional wastewater program. Manager, Matt Stouder
  • Operations: keeps the City's systems- streets (including traffic signals), wastewater, stormwater- running smoothly. Manager, Brian Conlon
  • Administration: oversees department budget, provides front counter customer service, and public information and outreach. Director, Anette Spickard

Notice of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing of the Springfield Planning Commission will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in the Springfield Council Chambers, Springfield City Hall. 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, Oregon to Consider the Following Proposals:

Proposed Zoning Map Amendment to Change the zoning for an 11 acre parcel from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Public Land and Open Space (PLO). Notice of Public Comment Period and Public Hearing

The City of Springfield’s DRAFT FY2017/18 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) One-Year Action Plan (OYAP) and Proposed Substantial Amendments to Prior Year Action Plans are now available for public comment. The OYAP allocates CDGB funds toward affordable housing and community development strategies in our community. For more information click here.
