Protecting Springfield's streams - with your help!

Want to improve Springfield’s waterways and enjoy the outdoors? Join Springfield’s Stream Team and see the impact of your efforts immediately by cleaning up litter, planting native vegetation, and removing invasive plants.

Both individuals and service groups are encouraged to volunteer. Gloves, tools and guidance are provided. Projects occur along Springfield’s streams, bioswales and rivers.

Upcoming 2017 Stream Team Volunteer Opportunities:

    • Friday, August 18, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Litter pickup, Q Street Floodway behind Winco. Meet at 2090 Olympic Street.
    • Saturday, Sept. 30, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Planting, Q Street Floodway By Gully bike path (East portion). Meet at the entrance, Mill Street and Fairview.
    • Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.:  Plant natives, Q Street Floodway By Gully bike path (West Portion). Meet at the entrance, Mill Street and Fairview.
