Storm and Sewer Map Legend (PDF) sewer map legend

Attempting to stay current with changing technologies and meeting vital needs for spatial facilities information, the City has migrated its sewer map series from the AutoDesk Drawing Web format (.DWF) to a GIS-enabled Adobe (.PDF) format.  The decision to transition to the PDF format was based on value-added functionality that the new PDF provides and the broad use of PDFs as an industry standard for sharing spatial information.

As with any transition, there are pluses and minuses to each software format.  The new PDF format provides the user with a whole host of useful functions, some of which include:

  • Layer controls that allow users to turn layers on and off (similar to DWF)
  • New search functions that allow users to search for features based on unique ID’s
  • Access to attribute information attached to individual features such as manhole rim elevations, pipe invert elevations, pipe sizes/material, etc.
  • Measure accurate distance and area calculations
  • Loading ESRI shapefiles and links to Google Earth

If you have any questions about this transition to a new standardized format, please contact the following City staff:

Each map shows storm and sanitary lines and nodes, and service line information on our planimetric base maps. These maps are updated as needed when new information is available. If you would like to plot these at their original size they were designed at 24" X 36" (Arch D sheet).

These maps contain links to Google Maps(TM). These links should be used only as a visual resource.  At no time should Google imagery and/or data layers be used to validate or create spatial data. For further information and details on acceptable uses and copyright restrictions of Google Maps(TM), please consult their Terms & Conditions at the following location:
