The
City of Springfield is progressing with the development of its Stormwater
Management Plan. The goal of the plan is to provide for a safe & adequate
drainage system to prevent flooding, meet future growth requirements, and
to insure our waterways meet water quality standards.
The draft plan addresses provisions of the federal Clean Water Act (CWA), the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), as well as other state & local requirements. It affects how maintenance, planning, & development activities impacting stormwater are conducted within the City, and shows how Springfield will work to improve water quantity in the City's streams & waterways. Please click on the links below to view the draft plan sections. (You will need Adobe Acrobat to view PDF files. Click here to download Acrobat).
