Retirement Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) (Employee pays 6% of salary)

Holidays

40 Hour Employees - Ten (10) Regular Scheduled Holidays plus one (1) floating Holiday (prorated for partial months)

56 Hour Employees - No Regular Holidays. 144 hours of floating holiday credited on January 1st each year (prorated for partial year)

Vacation Accrual

40 Hour Employees

* 0-3 Years = accrue 10 hours monthly (Available after 6 months)
* 4-8 Years = accrue 11.34 hours monthly
* 9-13 Years = accrue 13.34 hours monthly
* 14-18 Years = accrue 15.34 hours monthly
* 19 + Years = accrue an additional .67 hours per month for each additional year past 19 years
* Max accrual 500 hours
* Max Payout at termination 80 hours plus one year accrual

56 Hour Employees

* 0-3 Years = accrue 14 hours monthly (Avail after 6 months)
* 4-8 Years = accrue 15.84 hours monthly
* 9-13 Years = accrue 18.67 hours monthly
* 14-18 Years = accrue 21.50 hours monthly
* 19 + accrue an additional 1.0 hour per month for each additional year past 19 years
* Max accrual 750 hours
* Max Payout at termination 120 hours plus one year accrual


Sick Leave Accrual

40 Hour Employees

* Accrue 8 hours monthly (12 days/year)
* Available month following accrual
* No maximum accrual if on City Retirement Plan
* 1328 hour maximum accrual if on PERS

56 Hour Employees

* Accrue 12 hours monthly
* Available month following accrual
* No maximum accrual if on City Retirement Plan
* 2000 hour maximum accrual if on PERS

* No payment at termination unless retiring under the City Retirement Plan
