The City of Springfield has car wash kits available for nonprofit groups and clubs to use for FREE. The kits include all of the tools and materials necessary for your group to have a fish-friendly fundraising event. The kits divert the wash water into the sanitary sewer system where it is treated, rather than allowing the soapy water to run into nearby storm drains which lead directly to our community's waterways.

The Kits Include

1 plastic storage tub
1 sump pump
1 spray nozzle
1 fish-friendly sign
2 safety vests
1 drain cover or sand bag
2 extension cords
2 garden hoses
2 orange safety cones
1 electrical surge protector
4 bungee cords
1 set of easy-to-follow instructions

The kits can only be used in sites approved by the City. The sites need to have certain characteristics in order for the kit to work properly. The City of Springfield has identified a number of sites within the city that fit the requirements and are willing to host car wash fundraisers.
