The CHORE Program is designed for Springfield residents who:

• Own the home and land where they reside
• Live within the Springfield City Limits
• Don't have their home currently for sale
• Have a total household income not exceeding the HUD very low-income limits,

AND:

• Is 62 years or older living alone or with their spouse.

OR

• Is a certified disabled person living alone.

The CHORE Program is administered by the City of Springfield with funds provided by a Community Development Block Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. CHORE is limited to forty participants who are admitted to the program on a first-come, first-served basis.
