The Development and Public Works (DPW) Department is organized into five divisions:

  • Community Development: looks at the long-term future of the community and how we might grow. Interim Manager, Sandy Belson
  • Current Development: oversees changes to property inside the City or the Urban Growth Boundary around it. Manager, Greg Mott
  • Environmental Services: protects Springfield's water resources by managing a stormwater program and partnering in the regional wastewater program. Manager, Matt Stouder
  • Operations: keeps the City's systems- streets (including traffic signals), wastewater, stormwater- running smoothly. Manager, Brian Conlon
  • Administration: oversees department budget, provides front counter customer service, and public information and outreach. Interim Director, Tom Boyatt

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF SPRINGFIELD

A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY MAY 7, 2018 AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS, SPRINGFIELD CITY HALL, 225 FIFTH STREET, SPRINGFIELD, OREGON, TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING PROPOSAL:

  • Annexation of Territory to the City of Springfield and Willamalane Park & Recreation District, and Withdrawal of Territory from the Rainbow Water and Fire District, said territory being two adjoining properties addressed as 377 & 385 Deadmond Ferry Road, Assessor's Map 17-03-15-40, Tax Lots 2300 & 2400. The site is located within the City's Urban Growth Boundary and it abuts the City limits on all four sides. The Planning case number for the application is 811-18-000057-TYP4.
